Joanne Peh

Joanne Peh showed off her growing belly (as well as some generous sideboob  -- Cool Mum alert!) in a clingy Stella McCartney number  during the Bump’s red carpet debut.

Verdict: HOT (Mr. Qi doesn’t look too bad either)

Aloysius Pang

This year’s Best Newcomer sure looks poised for victory in his navy blue Paul Smith tux. We’re not crazy about the satin lapels, but the jacket fits so nicely on Aloysius’ lanky frame, that we’re willing to forgive them.

Verdict: HOT

Zoe Tay
Zoe Tay
27 Apr 2015

Zoe Tay

Once again, Zoe hit it out of the park in a gown from Carolina Herrera and a suit from Dolce & Gabbana. One look is simple, the other, ornate. One is feminine, and the other masculine. Yet Zoe wears both with grace and aplomb.

Verdict: HOT

Desmond Tan

Desmond Tan

After Show 1’s disastrous comb-over, we were relieved to see Desmond’s hair back to nor—oh. OH. While the affable Duke started the night strong with a neat hairdo and a Ferragamo tux, he ended it with a ponytail that can only be described as “artistic”. (Try a man bun next time, Desmond).

Verdict:

First outfit (Ferragamo): HOT
Second outfit: Less hot
Third outfit: NOT

BONUS

There's only one condition by which we will forgive Desmond's ponytail, and that is if his look were a homage to Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender (okay, it's totally not, but we can dream).

Yvonne Lim

How is it possible for Yvonne’s belly to look this flat in her Tony Ward gown so recently after giving birth? Life officially ain’t fair.

Verdict: HOT

Elvin Ng

27 Apr 2015

Elvin Ng

Elvin Ng looks like a solitary – albeit chipper bar– member of a barbershop quartet in his Dolce & Gabbana suit.

Verdict: NOT (This outfit isn’t terrible, but we know he can do better)

Quan Yifong

Quan Yifong

Awww – once again, Quan Yifong’s daughter, Eleanor, helped design her outfits for the big night. The tea-length skirts look adorable on the award-winning host.

Verdict: HOT

Felicia Chin

Felicia Chin

If you’ve got it, flaunt it. While Felicia looks like she’s suffocating a bit in her second outfit, both her red carpet and post-party attire, we can’t deny feeling inspired to start visiting the gym more frequently.

Verdict: HOT

Carrie Wong

27 Apr 2015

Carrie Wong

We love, love, LOVE Carrie’s simple red gown, but we’re not crazy about her second outfit, which looks a little too casual for the occasion.  The fishtail braid and red lips are on point, though.

Verdict: First outfit – HOT, second outfit – NOT

Chen Hanwei:  KILLIN’ IT in the classic tux and lucky black rose

Mark Lee: This random assortment of clothing would only be acceptable if one of his children had picked it out for him.

The Top 10 Male winner shedded his usual SWAGGY aesthetic for a classic Burberry suit.  With a pocket square! We like.

Verdict: HOT

Jeanette Aw

Jeanette Aw

Not many people can rock tangerine on the red carpet, but Jeanette looked fresh as a daisy (if not freshly out of the shower) in her gauzy Ralph Lauren gown.

Verdict: HOT

Ella

Ella

The S.H.E. star might have enough confidence to carry anything, but we weren’t keen on the overly chillaxed T-shirt and shorts combo she stepped out in for the Walk of Fame.  But the pantsuit she wore on stage is both playful and slimming.

First outfit: NOT, who wears shorts on the red carpet?!
Second outfit: HOT

Julie Tan

27 Apr 2015

Julie Tan

Julie looks amazing in both of her shimmery dresses, but we’re not keen on the fringe, which makes the youthful starlet look like she’s well into her thirties.

Verdict: Lukewarm

Kate Pang

27 Apr 2015

Kate Pang

The fabric and cut on the upper half of Kate’s dress looks a little cheap (seriously guys, no more satin), but it’s hard to deny how awesome she looks in a mermaid silhouette.

Verdict: Lukewarm

Li Nan Xing

Li Nan Xing

Lookin’ a little Miami Vice there, man.

Verdict: NOT – then again, almost anyone would look a little less attractive when posing next to the glamorous Zoe Tay

Rebecca Lim

Becks is the prime example of dressing well without trying too hard, as the Best Actress winner looked  timelessly beautiful in both of her Zac Posen gowns.

Verdict: HOT

Xu Bin

Xu Bin

Our Outstanding Duke looked smashing in his tux from Suit Supply, which he picked because it made him feel manly and look smartly dressed. Since it was his first time wearing a tux for Star Awards, though, he admitted that it was a bit of a struggle to stand up straight and carry it well, but we have to admit that he passed with flying colours.

Verdict: HOT

Romeo Tan

Romeo Tan

Like (most) of the other Dukes, Romeo kept it simple in a black suit from Zegna.

Verdict: HOT. It’s hard to go wrong with dark colours and classic silhouettes.

Rui En

Rui En

After wearing black for Show 1 last week, Rui En gave us a pleasant surprise after arriving in a delicate Zuhair Murad gown.

Verdict: HOT. We like that Rui En deviated from her usual vampy red carpet style.

Shane Pow

Shane Pow

Oh, dear. It looks like Shane never learned his lesson after last week’s ill-fitted Yohji Yamamoto mishap.

Verdict: NOT

Vivian Lai
Vivian Lai
27 Apr 2015

Vivian Lai

Vivian’s gowns might not be terrible, but they’re not spectacular enough to distract us from her unflattering makeup, as her overly-applied eyeliner and spider lashes make her look far older than we remember.

Verdict: NOT

Shaun Chen
Shaun Chen

Shaun Chen

When we asked Shaun where he got his suit, he simply replied that it was his own. Not bad for something you just dug out of your wardrobe!

Verdict: HOT

Colour of the night: Yellow

In between Ya Hui’s Roberto Cavalli, Priscelia’s JessicaCindy, Desmond’s jumper, and Jeffrey’s one-of-kind MCM jacket, we can’t help wondering if the stars conspired to wear sunny colours to stave off the rainy weather.

Curious George's long-last pal?

Jeffrey said that he chose his suit so that he could be memorable despite not being nominated for any awards, and well, he certainly succeeded in making an impression.
